A warm welcome from Lithuania!

In the beginning of December I was given the special opportunity to visit Lithuania together with over 300 social entrepreneurs and enthusiasts. Thanks to the initiative of Reach for Change people from all over the world came together to work on new solutions to help children in need.

The trip opened my eyes to the many, many challenges that children face globally. I had some important conversations with a Lithuanian autism organization. I also had the opportunity to meet with SOS Children Villages, and was touched by the many wonderful people engaged in making the world better for our children.  Yet I was struck by the harsh reality for many of the children on the streets of Lithuania.

There are thousands of orphaned children with no love or protection from adults, and many of them are on the autism spectrum. I can’t begin to imagine the confusion, fear, stress, and vulnerability that these children face every day.  My eyes are now opened to this problem, and I will do what I can to help.

We at DayCape would like to thank Reach for Change and wish every participant good luck in your quest for a better world.
